About Me I was born in Riga, Latvia on October 14th 1987. When I was a little girl Doctors advised my parents to start any sport activity due to problems with my back. Right after finishing kinder garden my parents had decided that I should start with dancing classes. At the beginning they could not find me a partner, so I had do dance on my own for some time. At the age of eight my first partner and I attended our first international competition in Denmark. Till this day I remember that my dancing partner took off for the cafeteria, instead of dancing Cha Cha Cha he was eating sugar at the cafeteria. At that time it was hard to imagine that in few years I will become a Latvian champion in Standard and later on will win major international competitions, such as U.K Rising Star and Blackpool. However in order to reach such results I had to give up a lot of things in my life. I also spent a lot of time living abroad in different parts of the world. Half a year I lived in Russia – Partner: Aleksandr Muretov (Crystall Club) I lived in Italy for nearly three years – Partner: Angelo Madonia (Tip Tap One Club) I also lived in USA for four months- Vivo Dance Studio However the most memorizing time was when I started to dance with Angelo. I had to move to Italy where we would train for ten hours a day, seven days a week. Besides that I had a busy graphic as a coach with no possibility of free time. With the help of my master coaches, Fabio Selmi and Mirko Gozzoli and my lovely parents I managed to keep going, leaving behind all the difficulties and the challenges. When we were on top of success Angelo and I broke up. It was a big tragedy for me, we really reached unbelievable results and all of the sudden it was over. When my dreams were lost and everything seemed awful, I met a very interesting person. All of the sudden I realized that I truly fell in love and he is the greatest prize of my life! His great support brought me back to life, the life I have never experienced before. Although he has nothing to do with dancing he constantly asks me to continue my career as a dancer. I believe that every dancer sooner or later comes to the point when it is time to make a choice. Currently my choice is to finish our wedding album, although I constantly have try-outs with different dancers, the main reason is to stay fit and keep my experiences up to date… hoping that this experience will help my couples to get promising results ;) As for now a new stage of my dancing career has begun. Being a professional coach and a judge can be just as challenging as dancing... |
